Becca Yu
MA, CCC-SLP, RSLP
Founder/Owner, Mom, SLP
I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. I have been a resident of the Tri-cities since 2018. I enjoy crocheting, hiking, attempts at gardening, and exploring beautiful BC with my husband, two boys, and our dog, Lucy. I have worked with children with special needs since 2005. I have experience as a behaviour interventionist and have worked as an SLP in both public and private practice.
As an SLP, I am very passionate about working with children to develop their fullest communication potential and have special interests in augmentative and alternative communication, bilingual language development, feeding disorders, and executive functioning. I am passionate about the collaboration and integration of services between service providers and health professionals, early detection and intervention for children, and advocacy for access to timely services.
My philosophy is that everyone has the right to communication whether it be with their voice, technology, and anything in between. I believe that success is empowering the person and their loved ones to be strong advocates for themselves through education.
